If I purchase an upgrade will it allow me to put Ads on my wordpress?

  I really love my wordpress.com blog and do not want to change it especially because now I receive a lot of traffic on my blog without having to update it constantly.

  My problem is this, I cannot put Amazon ads on my wordpress.com blog and I really would like to and it is making me consider getting another blog.

  Before I go and do this, I was wondering if there is any way around it. If I pay for one of the upgrades will it allow me to add ads on my blog.

  If you want to run ads on your blog, you might be interested in a self-hosted installation of WordPress.org – this is the same software that WordPress.com is based on. If you install and host it yourself, there will be no restrictions on advertising. However, installing and running a self-hosted blog is much more involved then using WordPress.com.
