If I purchase VideoPress through Jetpack, who can upload videos?

I’m considering purchasing VideoPress for my self-hosted WordPress site. If I did that, would I–as the administrator–be the only one who could upload videos, or would my other authors be able to upload videos?

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Jetpack is a WordPress.COM service, so I figured this was the place to ask. I’ll ask WordPress.ORG instead.

Jetpack is a plugin for WordPress.ORG software installs to provide parity with blogs hosted by wordpress.COM. Some JetPack solutions are here http://jetpack.me/support/

The answer is that anyone who has media upload permission should be able to upload.

HOWEVER, at the moment, VideoPress integration through Jetpack has some issues. So uploading must be done via the associated WordPress.com dashboard. This, whoever you wanted to be able to upload videos would need to have media upload permissions on that site as well.

We are working to improve VideoPress JetPack integration.

Ah. Is that why I can’t find the VideoPress subscription in the store? I remember it used to be $60/yr., but now the only options are WordPress.com Premium ($99/yr.) or Business.

If you are using a pre-sept 2014 site, you should be able to purchase videopress on your own. if you use a newer one, staff will need to assist you in purchasing it. Bug in our store system that hasn’t been fixed yet.
