If I renew a lapsed wordpress instance, will I have access to my images?
-
I had a hosted wordpress blog many years ago (over a decade ago), and I’ve long since let my account lapse. I was trying to archive my old blog, but the images don’t appear. If I renew my paid account, will the images be there?
I own my own domain and my DNS still points to the wordpress servers. Does that mean that I hosted the site via wordpress back in the day, and when I uploaded images to my blog, they were stored on wordpress’s servers (as opposed to a server I hosted somewhere else)? If it matters, my URL was angelahunt.com, not angelahunt.wordpress.com. I can’t remember if I hosted with my registrar or maybe directly via wordpress? Is that a thing?
If the images can be recovered, I’ll renew to get them. But if they’re gone, I’m going to archive just the text and move my DNS back to my domain registrar.
Thanks for any help or insights.
