if I transfer my domain name, what will happen to my current website?

  I have a website that is up and running with WIX. If I transfer my domain now while the wordpress website is not set up, will my current website still be accessible to all my clients? I need to time to build the wordpress website to the standard I have with bookings functionality and recipes etc before I redirect people to wordpress. I am in fact completely confused, can you help?

  I think the best bet would be to build your WordPress.com site, and then once it is all done, move the domain form pointing to Wix to pointing to the new WordPress.com site. That way you will have time to get everything set up correctly before you are sending clients to view it.
