  WordPress.com does not allow you to add AdSense, even if you purchase a WordPress.com upgrade. You can add any ads you’d like if you have a WordPress.org setup though. See http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ to learn about the differences.

  There is also an option to apply to the Add Control program, which is revenue sharing for AdSense ads, but you need to have at least 25,000 pageviews per month to be able to participate. See http://support.wordpress.com/advertising/
