  When I look at the options for transfering a blog, it says I can do it for free if it’s from wordpress to wordpress but it appears to me that I have to pay $129 if I want to transfer from wordpress to another site such as blogger. Is this correct? I have made my wordpress site into an xml file but it won’t load into blogger. It keeps timing out.

  Hi Alli,

  You can always export your blog for free by downloading the export file for your site. (The $129 service is a Guided Transfer — that’s only for moving from WordPress.com to WordPress.org, not to other services.)

  If you aren’t able to import that content directly into Blogger, you may need to get more help from the Blogger Help Forum or check out the Blogger support site for more help importing your content there.
