  lost post. Two hours of careful work lost in a second when I clicked something inadvertently. I am writing on a Mac. I hadn’t yet clicked the update button or publish even privately.. is there any way of retrieving it? It isn’t in the drafts..

  Found it! Phew! Looked in my google history and then it gave me the option to restore…
  Note to self- ALWAYS set to private publish and save, save save!

  Hi there,

  I’m so glad you found that draft! Your drafts are saved locally in your browser, so they can be restored by heading back to the post editor as you did. But I definitely recommend clicking the “Save” button to start saving the draft on your site, or even publishing a post privately (and saving often as you work on it), just to be sure. :)
