If my OLD email address no longer exists, how can I confirm an email change?
-
I am trying to change my email address. I have confirmed the change using the link to the NEW email address. However, I am concerned that I am not receiving a confirmation link at the OLD email address which no longer exists.
When an email address is changed, does a confirmation link get sent to the OLD email address? If so, I will not be able to confirm the change and will need further help to change my email address.

Hi there,
Are you trying to change your user email address, or your blog email address? There are slightly different processes for both of these.
Cheers!

Hi, thanks very much for your reply.
I am trying to change my user email address, specifically, the one that appears under Settings -> Account. I am suspecting that a notification is being sent to the current address on file, which is the “old” one and no longer exists. If so, is there a way to work around this?
Unfortunately, I am also not seeing notifications of followup posts – because my user email address no longer exists. Many thanks again for your timely reply.

Hmmm… seems like I was able to change my email address! Maybe I was doing it incorrectly.
Thanks again for your help.
