If you could change one thing about your theme, what would it be?

To set the width of the fix-width theme, where currently some theme fix the width, or flexible width which may expand to overlap the sidebar. If user could fix the max width of the theme, or provide the flexibility to hide the sidebar for all flexible width theme, hosting photos and large size media file will more charm.

    I use MistyLook.

I agree with a previous commentator about distinguishing post and comment titles in the appropriate widgets. Either bullets or alternating background shades that complement the blog theme would work well.

But I would really like a scrolling Twitter widget, like the one Twitter supplies for embedding, which searches my Twitter name rather than accesses my Twitter profile. The search is richer in tweets and more accurately reflects all tweets from others and me (conversations I have) than my profile does. Scrolling adds a kinetic/dynamic element to the blog.

If I could change one thing about my theme, Contempt, I would change the monochrome cage it makes for me. Trust me, I love my theme and I’d hate to see it removed or replaced, but I would love to be able to change my theme’s color scheme. The blue is nice for winter, but it’d be great if throughout the year I could subtly change the look of it, to green or red or tan, or any number of colors, really. In fact, the ability to input the colors myself would be a tremendous improvement!

It’s high time we got rid of that complicated TypeKit thing and had a font selection menu built into the dashboard.
    WP is great!

I use Quentin. I’d like to be able to organize my categories and posts in any way I choose, not be forced to use alphabetical order for the categories and then chronological order for posts in a category. I’d also like to be able to archive some posts (of my choosing) off the page, without deleting them.

The only thing I’d change about my theme, Modularity Lite, is the back ground. I’d like the option to select a plain black or white back ground. Other than that, I love it!

Would love to have a simple classic countdown widget and calendar/event widget. I use the Google calendar on my sites (Modularity Lite) but they often go out of sinc for no reason at all.

I think users of any theme would appreciate these.

I have used two themes so far with WordPress. I was using ChaosTheory for a long time, but eventually changed because I didn’t like how most of the widgets were at the very bottom of the page.

Now I use K2-lite, which I think works better for me because ChaosTheory also lacked the custom header.

I would like to have a second sidebar in K2-lite.

I’m using Twenty Ten and would like to be able to have more than two widgets in the sidebar. I have to put the others at the bottom and I doubt if many people see them there.

ooops! I left a post this morning (8:30ish) and I realized that I had accidentally requested changes for Chaos Theory, and I meant to say CHAOTIC SOUL:

    1. When you click on a category under “Categories”, it only shows a list of posts with just the titles. It would be really great if we had the option to show the entire/partial post, as well. I have an art/photo blog, so it would be nice to be able to see the work I am featuring under those categories :)

    2. Perhaps, have an option to have “Comments” posted below your article, instead of above it.

Other than that, I’m new to wordpress, and have been loving it! Thanks :)

Journalist 1.3 – I’d have a menu at the top (horizontal). I’d much prefer this. Or, if that’s not possible, I’d want the current side menu to have the option of showing just the top level pages with the sub-pages available as a drop-down option. I hate that all the pages are visible creating a menu that is longer than some of my pages. But the rest of the theme is gorgeous – crisp and clean.

I used to use Structure – another nice theme. For that one, I’d have the background picture option BUT have it only visible at the sides. so that it didn’t obscure the main text/content.

I am using Pilcrow by Automattic, which i love. I haven’t read through all the comments here, so don’t know if it’s been mentioned, but i would like a change to EVERY theme, and that would be to have a choice to include status updates in all themes, and not just in set themes such as P2 and Prologue.

    How awesome that you ask!

I love my theme, Garland, but if I could tweak just one thing, I would love it if the title and page titles at the top could be color customized as well.

And if the Garland genie were to grant my every wish, I would also ask for a custom header, in addition to the color customization. :)

Thank you for listening and happy new year!

All themes should allow users to select the fonts they wish to use in posts, pages and their sites as a whole.

Allow users to replace the Header with a billboard that could show rotating messages defined by the user.

I’m really satisfied with Monochrome, but If I could improve one thing, I’d like if archives of categories would look more appealing, with some of original pictures or part of original post and not just like some linked text.

Thanks anyway and I’d be really happy if it would improve one day!

it will be something that is a color customizable,a resizable header,a custom backround and a nice navigation bar :)

I use 2010, and I’d love a smaller font and a more prominent comment link (maybe with a small graphic, like the one zBench uses).

I previously used zBench and switched to 2010 because I wanted the comment links on the front page to be at the bottom of each post, not the top.

I would love to be able to put a separate side-widget to my theme, Duotone. I love posting photographs, so the theme is just right for me, but I also adore the widgets function on WordPress and would like to be able to use more than just the three that Duotone can currently accommodate.

I use coraline and would really like to be able to change the font.
    Thanks, Julie.

My theme is INOVE, I like it very much.
But please (I beg you!) put the font-color=black and the line-height=20px !
It’d be better in readability !
    Thank you, best regards
