If you could change one thing about your theme, what would it be?

I love the freedom of customization Modularity Lite gives along with the big width, that’s what majorly made me choose this theme. I used Under the Influence and Hemingway but changed because of the refered reasons, respectively.
Following athysse, I think a light colour scheme would be a clever addition just as hemingway has (a reverse of the dark one; text colour black, column transparent background white for a light background image (I’m not very sure how this one is done, but probably doable)).
Following deadpoet, I agree with caption’s text to be centered instead, it’s much more balanced, especially if you input a wide image.
Finally, following me. This theme has a great function that is the homepage slideshow. However, it only is displayed if your homepage is set to show the recent posts, not if you choose a stactic page, and it really wastes the major potential this theme has to offer. I’m not sure how it the image’s source would be set, as it’s a static page, but setting it to the featured images of each post would solve it. And this would also follow a bit of sungypsy’s request: I would love to have a slideshow of all the featured images – isn’t it a waste to solely show the latest posts’ ones with so many great past images yet to be known?
I would be eternally grateful if the slideshow would be available for blogs with stactic pages as homepage.I’m glad to know the theme team is clever and am looking forward to changes =)
Just to clear misunderstandings,
@duto, you don’t need CSS upgrade to change the <b>post</b> text font or other of its attributes (spare my terminology’s accuracy), that’s easily done in the post’s html editor, but individually, in each post’s code. -
If I could change anything about the Wu Wei theme, it would be to be able to display widgets along a left-hand-of-page column, not ONLY at the bottom of the page/screen. If you can make this magic happen, then I can stop hunting for another/better theme. Thanks!

I use the Twenty Ten theme and would like to be able to choose whether or not a picture, font, or both are seen as a preview to the post in archive mode. If I can do this already, please enlighten me! :)
Thanks -
I’m currently using the theme Vostok, which I love. But one change I’d really like is to be able to have some options for the background colour! I love the simplicity in the layout, the custom-header and the fonts – it’d be perfect if users could play around the colour, so it isn’t always a dreary brown. :)
-
for Twenty Ten I’d like to be able to remove the navigation bar and header image entirely.

In all themes, the author of the post should be highlighted (theme-specific) in the comments, so that you see, that the author of the post is replying.

I’m using Koi and I would love it to be able to have different layouts.
I would really love to use 2RH columns but none of the other themes have any of the other things I use. If i switch to a two column layout I either lose my custom header or the ability to have images on the main page.

I am using the MistyLook Theme. It is ALMOST perfect except for 2 things:
1. I wish that the MistyLook Theme is capable of having a Gallery/Portfolio option (as another page or tab) where the pictures that we upload would be automatically resized to a consistent Thumbnail size or look in the gallery, whether portrait/landscape orientation. Similar to this one: http://demo.graphpaperpress.com/workaholic/
2. I wish the table width is just a bit wider. Just a bit. Maybe half an inch on both sides. Then both inner columns can be adjustable to make them either wider or narrower.
With those two things above, I think MistyLook would be perfect! =)

Spectrum- I would like a home button with my pages or some instructions easily available as to how to make one.

This might not qualify as a “theme change” – I assume it is part of the dashboard for all of the themes, but I really hope you can make the change. [I’ve been trying to deal with this for over 3 years, and it’s frustrating] When inserting a photo I have no initial option to check a little box to “open photo in new window”. That is only found in “advanced settings” after the photo is added. So, currently, I have to add the photo, click on the photo, go into “advanced settings”, choose the “open in separate window” box and resave. I use a LOT of photos on my site, which traslates to a LOT of wasted time doing these steps. Thanks!

I use “The Journalist 1.3 by Lucian Marin”
I would like:
1.Custom header feature
2. Disable right-clicks -
@shah939
Disable right-clicks
I’m thinking you must not be aware that disbaling right cliscks is an annoynace that does not prevent content or image theft. It’s easily circumvernted and those who rely oj it have a false sense of sesurity. If you are concerned about imahe theft then watermarking your images is more effective, but the bottom line is that whatever you post on the internet is subject to theft.

I would choose something more eye catching, maybe it’s not too late, I am a novice when it comes to worpress themes, I could use some help with how to add some banners to my site.
-
I’m using Quentin and love it, but it would be nice if the link for commenting were highlighted, enlarged or less hidden in the footer. Even changing the link to “Leave a Comment” would do the trick.

I’m fairly new here to this platform and it’s not the most user-friendly. If I could change one thing about my theme – I would change everything. I wish designing/changing a theme was as easy as designing a wix.com website layout. There is just too much stuff on that dashboard and it doesn’t seem to make sense to me. Either that or I wish changing themes was as easy as changing backgrounds like it was in Yahoo!360’s blogging platform. I don’t necessarily need to change the placement of the tabs/menus/content – I just want to be able to change the background to whatever I want.
I had to use a default theme from the home page since I can’t figure out how to change it to the theme that I think I’d like more. Is it me or is there more than one site to go to to get a WordPress Theme?? If I swore I’d swear I looked at an endless number of cool themes – which is what made me decide to blog here. Then when I came here there were like – 126 to choose from and all of them were uh…. well, none of what I wanted. Why are there multiple sites that have your themes? And how can I change or create something I really like??????? HELP.

I use Pilcrow; I’ve wondered why the custom header photos can’t be specified by URL, the same as “normal” body photos?
-
I am using Wu Wei. When I click on EDIT, than change something and go back to my post after, the text (which I did not touch) moves next to my images within the post (actually touching the images). I then have to go back into EDIT and manually move the text of the post all the way past the images by pressing return numerous times and hit update. It happens EVER SINGLE TIME, no matter what I change regarding the post.
VERY frustrating.
Any ideas?

I really like my new theme, Pilcrow. It supports a custom background, which I’d like to deploy, but, when I upload my photo it automatically tiles across the background, which isn’t what I was looking for.
If Pilcrow would allow me to upload one picture to use full size as my background, it would be completely perfect.
Thanks for asking!!
And, thanks for all of your support. I am SUCH a fan of WordPress.
Happy New Year!
