If you could change one thing about your theme, what would it be?

I am using Bueno. There are many things I would like that appears to be available to those who use “Blogger”. Maybe I just don’t know how to use all the gizmos???
Would like my readers to be able to choose “next post”, “previous post”
Would like to be able to have a couple of font choices
But my biggest wish is to be able to build a “followers” pool like you see on Blogger.

For Mistylook, I have a good sugestion:
The text color for posts should be jet black instead of gray.

I really love the versatility and cool factor of 2010, but one thing I’d love is to be able to highlight each author on multi-author blogs by having a thumbnail of their gravatar show up in the header to each post, kind of like your profile picture shows up next to comments here, and the various social networks. This could be an optional thing so that people who don’t like that could turn it off and just have the small name like it is now. But sometimes I wonder if my readers realize who is the author of each post, and the gravatar might help.

Also, I like the idea of allowing different heights for headers. One 2010, we have to find a picture that’s 940 x 198, which is pretty tough. But if I could bump that up to 220 or 230, it would open up many other possibilities for me, while still keeping that sleek look of the theme.

I really think Notepad is great, but visually, I wish that it was more real looking instead of virtual. Like a photo of an actual yellow notepad would be great. Thank you!

I use Bueno. The one thing that bothers me the most is that on the top of any page not the blog page it restates the page name. I would love the option to remove or re-title pages!

  • Unknown's avatar

Ok two things… I actually think this bothers me more. If someone clicks on a tag to search for like posts I would like a list of posts to show up so a reader could see all the related posts at once.

I find it irritating that on Koi there’s no permalink on comments clickable in the comment thread. I have to look at the Comments page to get it. Ridonkuous.

Also no Next Post/Previous post thingy, but that’s less important to me.

Control number of columns 1-5 even 6 and length of each item at the first page. I am using Inuit which is best so far, since few other allows you to have that many blog items on one page – I am looking for the Newspaper-like Layout – New York Times :)

Using Inuit, which is good, but not perfect.

I would like to see in Modularity Lite all the sidebars that are already available, but also a left-side sidebar.

  • Unknown's avatar

Oh, and on Modularity Lite have each blog-post show what author posted it

I use Pilcrow and would like it if links, even before they are clicked, where a different colour so they don’t get mixed up with words/expressions that are simply underlined.

I would also like it if all the pages I created, who have no parent page could be like the front page where instead of updating the page with the hope that someone will notice the content has changed, we could use them to also write posts that followers would be notified about. It would also allow for the content I put on these pages to stay visible all the time. It always makes me sad to have to take everything off before I put anything new because people will not scroll until the end of time to see all the content.

It would also be fun a sort of by-line underneath the title or like in the bueno theme a little line or box that said who the author is, but again, preferably under the post name and not at the end of the post. Otherwise, there could be a way of putting in a signature automatically, the way e-mail accounts allow us to do.

I am using the theme Twenty Ten for my blog and it would be great if I could change the fonts and colors of the blog header and the headings of the archives column and the custom menu.

I am using Greyzed (which i reallllllllllllllllllllllllllly like) but wish:

    1) in addition to the big quotation marks, that quoted text was more clearly indicated (ideally, a slightly shaded background)
    2) that the title font of the blog itself was the same red as titles of posts

i need an e-zine theme to have my blog and other info on the same front page. using your theme filter i see magazine listed as a filter, but no magazine options. thanks for asking!

I apologize but I have three things I would like changed in the Motion theme:
    1. the rss part of the header is in English while my blog is in Italian and I cannot put a custom text or quote in there
    2. Probably paragraphs in the sidebar have way too much bottom margin (1em ???)
    3. The twitter embed feature looks horrible with that completely useless text-shadow… It should be removed from every piece of the blog (body, paragraphs, etc…) It’s green on green so it only hurts…
    Thanks for your attention. :)

Hi, how are you? I use the theme: Spring Loaded by the449. And I’m quite satisfied with it. I think what should be improved on the theme is the possibility of an image can be placed in the header and the menus could have sub menu.

  • Unknown's avatar

Using Pool — the ability to remove the search bar from the top menu area would be great!

    Chaotic Soul,

more control over setting picture locations without them moving. Also to change the fonts in all the Theme.

I would add an extra column kubrick theme and the header option in silver is the new black;)

I use DePo Masthead and Pilcrow for my other blog. I would like to post to my pages rather than have them static.
