If you could change one thing about your theme, what would it be?

I would essentially want some kind of widget or feature in all themes which enable scroll to top when a blog is too long….

I have a group blog with my friends that uses Coraline, which is fabulous except that it doesn’t display the author’s name on the post. That’s fine (and sleek) for a single-author blog, but it’d be great if there could be an option added so that the author’s name could be added to the line under the post title that currently reads “Posted on January 6th, 2010” (so it would read “Posted on January 6th, 2010 by Millie the Scientist” if the option was chosen).

I use and love Tarski but the one thing that I really want is Next Post and Previous Post links.

    I’d love a 3-column version of Wu Wei. :)

    CHAOS THEORY:

    1. When you click on a category under “Categories”, it only shows a list of posts with just the titles. It would be really great if we had the option to show the entire/partial post, as well. I have an art/photo blog, so it would be nice to be able to see the work I am featuring under those categories :)

    2. Perhaps, have an option to have “Comments” posted below your article, instead of above it.

Other than that, I’m new to wordpress, and have been loving it! Thanks :)

I use Elegant Grunge (with two columns), and what I would most like to have is slightly wider column widths. There’s a lot of extra space on either side that for me would be much better utilised in making those columns wider – especially for the sidebar, as post titles often take up two lines wheras with other themes they would have only used one line – this would truly make the appearance neater and ‘elegant’.

I use Journalist 1.9, which is a great, clean looking theme, I do wish though that it could be upgraded so that it is on par with the rest of the newer themes – top menu, footer widgets, option of 2 sidebars…

Thanks for asking! 2010 user here. Would love to have smaller font/closer spaced lines for main body text option and would like the links to be shown just in a different colour and not underlined. Makes my links page look very heavy to have all those underlinings on it. Love the feature image, the slideshows and the general feel of the theme though. On the slideshow I would like the slideshow not to have that dark black background, the images always seem darker when I use a slideshow, not sure why that is, or whether it is an optical illusion….

The “print” function of my theme does not work properly. The text always goes off the edge of the page, even if I change it to print landscape. I need a print feature that actually works. I would really appreciate it.

I am using the theme Coraline for a blog I have in which different authors post. I love many of the clean design features of this theme. However, the only thing that is missing for me is the option to list the author of a post next to the “Posted on” date under the Title of the post. Other themes include this format (e.g., Twenty Ten).

I REALLY miss this information as I read my blog and keep considering changing to a theme that has the author name listed – but the rest of the design features of Coraline keep bringing me back because they work so well for this particular blog. (For example, I love the prominence of the blog name and its tag line in this design.)

    Currently using Coraline theme:
I would love to be able to change the font of the theme and the font on the Theme Title header like that one for Pilcrow. Also, I would love to be able to add a background image that does not interfere with the text, like that one on Pilcrow layout. Whenever I add a background image on the Coraline Theme, it shows under the text, and I wat to get rid of that feature and be able to upload a background image without it making it impossible to read the posts or the sidebar contents.
I would also love to be able to locate the Blog title and the “Just another wordpress blog” subtitle to the left or the right, depending on my preferences.
I would be very thankful if the was upgraded the Coraline up to that level.
    Thanks again

Would like the theme to be enabled with a chat room/group function, similar to a yahoo group, so that support we have elsewhere could be integrated into our site (for free).

I use Twenty Ten and the only thing that I would like is to have room for more than two widgets in the primary widget area (the right-hand column). Apart from that the theme is very nice — thanks!

I use Ocean Mist. It would be great if the header would display a new photo for each day of the week, or a new one from a fixed set (folder) of photos every 1 or 2, or 3 days. Alternatively, it would be nice if the header would display a different photo depending on which Page is being displayed.

It’d be nice if you guys had a theme generator. Some (social networking) sites (i.e.: Twitter, Hype Machine, Virb) let you build your look from the ground up simply by choosing options from a series of drop-down menus. Features like this would allow bloggers a wider capacity for expressibility without having to know CSS/HTML or pay you money, and would aid dramatically in user satisfaction.

If I could change one thing about Twenty Ten it would be the ability to hide my website’s title. It seems rather redundant to have allow a custom header but not to let you remove the title when it already appears in the header.

I use the theme called ChaoticSoul on my Stars in Silence fictional story blog. I spent a lot of time trying to find the perfect theme that felt me, and this was the closest I got to it.

I honestly would love better menu support on this theme. I love the look and simplicity, but, not the location of the menu (which is the sidebar). I would like a standard navigation menu above my header, or below my header image. And perhaps the name of my blog being on my header image instead of using up some screen real estate at the top.

Here’s my run down on image format: http://starsinsilence.files.wordpress.com/2011/01/starsinsilence_suggestion1.jpg

So basically, on the image I showed visually where I’d like things to be moved around. With this, where I suggested the menu to be moved I’d like it to use the custom menu feature.

The title could be merged with the ‘Header’ page for formatting, at least give me an option to move my title to my banner. It doesn’t have to be default, but, I’d personally love this option.

I’m sure others would love the theme having a moved menu.

It is a beautiful theme and I’d like to use it to its fullest extent.

If I could change one thing about my theme, Vigilance, it would be the ability to change the font! I love the theme, but I don’t like serif…I’d rather habe the ability to change it into some sans-serif font!!

I wish that the frozen drop-down pages menu on the left would adjust so it doesn’t get stuck below the page when viewing. Thereby some pages can not be chosen unless the view size is reduced. Theme Oulipo.

I’d love to be able to customize the home page — to be able to show off a certain categories of posts, or to include a widget that shows larger thumbnails of my Flickr stream or YouTube videos, and to be able to change the placement of items on the page. I’m using the 2010 theme, but customizable home pages can be a feature that applies to any theme.
