If you could change one thing about your theme, what would it be?

I am currently using “Greyzed”..and I so love it! But I really wish the width were flexible… but more imp. the background was changeable…

If I could change one thing about Inuit Types by BizzArctic, it would be to add the ability to display all or even part of the featured post on the front page of the blog.

It’s a great theme for my particular blog about storytelling, bold black and white contrasts emphasizing text but with strong use of featured images to draw attention to each post graphically.

And it lets me feature the latest post in a single column header at the top of the main page that’s dominated by the feature image.

Only problem: that lead, featured post at the top of the page doesn’t display ANY copy except for the post title and comment count. I’d love for visitors to the main page to be able to actually READ my most recent post without clicking through to see the content.

Currently using “Vigilance”, and the name of our blog is automatically placed in the center of the header photo. If I could change one thing, I would want to be able to move the title in the header photo to either the right or the left if it didn’t work to be in the center with a given photo. We change the header photos from time to time. Having the title of the blog stuck in the center limits photo choices..

    Thank you for asking :).

For one of my blogs I use Digg – 3 Column. I would really like to be able to use a slightly larger font. The font is too small, but the other options are either bold or too large. I think the font size is 10, but I would like 12. I do not want to use typekit fonts. I know that I can change the font using html code, but this does not work well when writing long posts. Also, the blockquote doesn’t look that great on this theme.

I have three other blogs that I use for different purposes: I use Pilcrow theme for two of them. I like the look but the “sticky note” like background that appears with the widgets doesn’t look great and sometimes interferes with the title. Also, the featured image feature just does not work that well, at least for how I want to use it. For the fourth blog, I use Koi theme. I love the look, but would like more than 2-columns.

I would like Kubrick even better if there was a way to generate (and update) an index listing title and date of publishing of all postings.

Hi. Thanks for asking about changes. I recently moved here from Vox along with quite a few other folks and I can tell you for sure that we have all been extremely happy. I am using Modularity Lite on a couple of different blogs that I have. I post a lot of photos and would love to be able to adjust the size of the header. I had a new grandson born last week and created a new site for him and his photos and I would love to have the header photo bigger. It is usually difficult to find a photo that will work for such a long narrow header. It would really be nice if I could use two or three photos to create a header. I know I can do that in an editing software and then post it, but it would be much easier if I could do it here. Just a thought. I am very happy with WordPress and all the features you guys have put here. Thank you so much for all that you do!

Garland would be perfect if it supported a custom header. I don’t want a tall header, something narrow will do — but that color gradiant up there is really dull.

Redoable Lite: Get rid of the red bars on either side of the banner. I’ve tried, and it doesn’t work.

Allow my sub-title: Because my family stopped answering my email – to be seen on the banner

If someone posts a link in a comment, it is not highlighted at all. Only when you hover the mouse over the link by accident do you even realise it is there.

    Whoops! That’s three things. :-)

    Theme: Enterprise

I’d love a widget area at the top of the posts at the home page and a special widget for this piece; a slideshow displaying featured photos of posts that link to them.

Actually I’d love it for every theme and I can even switch my theme to a different one :)

    Thank You!

Using Bueno, it would be fantastic if I could hide my blog title and tag, as I like to have them on my header image. The all capsn all blck title at the top of the page interferes with how I’d like my blog to look.

I use “Dark Wood” and I would love to have a bigger font. I think that there should be at least a size difference choice for the fonts, though preferably, a couple different standard fonts without having to use the Type thingy. Thanks, I would love to have this change.

    For MistyLook and other themes:

On archives listing page, have option to pull in thumbnail of a posting’s attached photo (could be lst photo).

    Specific to MistyLook:
An empty line to separate listing of blog posts in our widgets. The RSS widget for instance, doesn’t do this for us. See http://cyclewriteblog.wordpress.com Other themes have this tiny refinement already.

As you can tell, I still like the template. (Ability to add custom background and other mini features are useful.)

Please let the language preferences of my visitors decide about the interface language of my multilingual blog. Perhaps reduce the choice to the primary+secondary languages of my blog for less confusion for automated translators.
And don’t forget to localise the dates: 6 nov 2010

If that is not a theme thing but a feature, then I would like a flexible height for the header image in at least the pool theme. Less is more…

I am using Twenty Ten, which I love. Here are the things I don’t love:

-I wish I had control over how/where the comments show up. In Twenty Ten, the link to expand and see the comments is hidden at the bottom of the post with the tags. I would prefer to be able to move that to a more prominent location, as my blog is very focused on discussion.
-I would also like to be able to choose, post by post, if the comments automatically appear from the homepage, rather then needing to click to expand them. That way on my most recent posts people could see the comments right away and join the conversation without effort

    using Oulipo here!
I would love to have the Next Post and Previous Post links.

If I could change one thing about my theme, or any theme or WordPress, it would be the ability to control what is displayed when searching in the archives or by a category or tag. Title only? Image and a few lines? A few lines? Whole post?

I would love to have the choice to select the font. I know you can pay for something called css and figure it out from there – and I did that once, but not to my satisfaction. I don’t want to take another learning curve on customizing a blog. I just want to be able to say use Times Roman for Titles and Arial for everything else. Couldn’t that just be a check box?

    Thanks for listening.

I used MistyLooks and its the best theme for my blog with regards to features, the general look and feel….what I would definitely like to change is the Font. I felt Calibri went well with Mistylook theme the best.

Also would like some more flexibility for editing text not to mention have more options in widgets.

I am using INove by NeoEase, and I think that I will be grate if it will have 3 columns.
