  If you have a WordPress.com blog and you switch it over to your own domain through WordPress.com does that allow you to bring over your “followers”? Or do you have to get all that through WordPress.org and get a host?

  I have the domain upgrade for my blog, the blog is still hosted at WordPress.COM. In fact, the WordPress.com url still shows in my dashboard. As far as I can tell, nothing changes but the fact that your blog comes up when you type in that domain. You will have your followers. X

  By “followers” I thought you meant people subscrbing to your blog within WordPress.com. I don’t know about Friend Connct. X

  The Google Friend Connect widget is a JavaScript widget. It cannot be used on WordPress.com blogs as the software here strips the code out to preserve security and stability on this multiuser blogging platform. See here > http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/
