How do I get to the support team who can do this for me??
‘If you want a site but don’t want any of the posts and pages you have now, our support team can delete your posts, pages, media and comments for you. This will keep your site and URL active, but give you a fresh start on your content creation. Just contact us to have your current content cleared out.’The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You may add a “modlook” tag to the sidebar in this topic to call for staff attention, and then wait for staff to respond. However, it’s rather easy to empty a site yourself using the steps given in the Empty Site support page.

I just manually deleted all my posts and tried to re-migrate the new file. No go — I think that WordPress thinks I am trying to upload a duplicate. I want to replace the old file and it won’t let me. I ran a program to fix all my internal links on blog posts and want to upload the new file.

Is it even possible to “re-migrate” after deleting everything manually? I screwed up the first time and just want to start fresh.

I don’t know what you mean by “re-migrate.” Emptying the site of posts, pages, categories, tags, comments, images, etc., if done completely, leaves you with an empty site which can then be filled up as you like.

I am migrating content from another blog … I guess I did not share this detail, sorry. I did the migrate before I fixed links (all my links on the new site just linked back to the old site, which I am planning to close). Now I have fixed my links and would like to upload the file again and replace all content. It won’t let me, I am guessing this is because it is reading it as a “duplicate” file. Not sure how to delete the original file upload. Every road leads me back to “the support team can do this for you.” How do I find the support team? I want to use the free account.

@ insidedog,
Hi. The modlook tag you’ve added will call for staff attention. Wait for one of them to respond.

Hi insidedog ,
If you’d like we can empty your site, note that emptying a site means deleting everything including all posts, media, pages etc.
I do see you were able to successfully import your site about an hour ago. If you would still like to empty the site let us know.

Hi bdukes. I have learned that I cannot fiddle with the plugins unless I upgrade my account. This means that I lose all my internal links. I have decided that I’m ok with that. Thanks for the reply. I will go forward with my site as it is.

Hi insidedog,
For security and performance reasons installing custom plugins are only available for self-hosted WordPress sites (not those hosted by WordPress.com) regardless of upgrades.
WordPress.com comes with a set of features many of which you’ll find in common plugins. Our plans do add functionality to sites however. Here is a list of current plan features:
https://store.wordpress.com/plans/If you must have access to a plugin or feature that is not available for WorDPress.com you may wish to think about moving to a self-hosted WordPress site. For more on the difference see:
