If you were building an event directory, how would you do it?

  I want to keep the plugins + theme under $200 CAD.

  I want users to be able to sign up and post events for free, and then be able to pay for various ways of featuring their event on their city page, the main home page, and maybe highlight the ad and bump it to the top.

  Looking for a modern looking theme as well. I’ll answer any questions! :)

  Hi there. This is not possible on WordPress.com. We cannot use any plugins here and we’re not allowed to host advertising on our blogs either.

  For what you want to do you’ll need to buy your own domain and hosting and set up a self-hosted site using the WordPress.org software. Please visit the WordPress.org forums for help with this.
