Iframe code produces gray box

  Hi,

  My question is related to uploading a PDF onto my site. I published the document to the web and had an iframe code generated by a third-party site, which I then put into my text tab.

  But

  When I switch over to a the visual view, all I see is a gray box with the play symbol (a triangle flanked by two sets of parallel lines) in the center. When I preview my page, all I see is a link to the PDF.

  How can I make my embed show up?

  WordPress.com does not allow the use of iframes for security reasons.
