iframe code workaround?

  • Unknown's avatar

    I know WordPress doesn’t support iframe. Is there a workaround somehow? I would really like to display this fundraising widget on my page. Here is the coding I was given:

    <iframe src=”https://www.youcaring.com/fundraiser-widget.aspx?frid=82344″ width=”260″ height=”377″ frameborder=”0″ />

    Thanks for any help you can give!

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi Katie – You can download it as an image only to your computer, upload that image to your Media Library, and then use an Image Widget or Text Widget to display it in your sidebar, linked to where people can donate.

    Thanks for getting back to me. I’m not sure this will work. The widget shows fundraising progress in real time, so saving a static image to my computer will only go so far. I would have to update the image every time a donation is made.

    Is there a way to convert iframe coding into a code that is acceptable on WordPress?

  • Hi Katie – I’m sorry, but there isn’t. Any code listed here will be stripped out:
    Code

    If that service offers a plain HTML widget you can use that. Otherwise, I’ve added to our suggestion list for possible future updates that you’d like support for Youcaring.com widgets. :)
