iframe embed only shows in editor mode but not in previews/live webpage
-
Hi everyone,
lately I have been trying to incorporate some 360 content from this site
(https://www.360easyvr.com/gallery/vrview/1016?random=1600138558052)
with the embed link, as mentioned in the title, the content displayed perfectly fine in the editor mode but it disappear in preview and the actual page.
After some digging with my colleague, we found this thread
(https://wordpress.com/forums/topic/problems-embedding-iframe-code-into-a-page/) and we are guessing that because the 360 site isn’t a particularly recognized one like Google, its iframe code would not work?
Now my questions are A) The thread is from 2012, so does the situation still apply now? and B) Is this something that can be solved by purchasing a premium or business WordPress account? Or is this a limitation that exists in WordPress regardless of the type of plan we choose?
Thanks in advance for any help or advice! -
Hi! If it’s an iframe, it’s likely being stripped out because we don’t allow iframes in the code here:
The Business Plan and up will allow iframes (and other outside code) — it just costs more because of the extra maintenance, security, and support issues we tend to run into with outside code.
But if you want to stay on a free plan, here’s one way you can embed 360s:
