iframe request (for Cinemagraph)
-
Hello,
I’ve read couple of posts here that i realized that wordpress.com dose not support <iframe> (!!!)I would like to request if you can support the iframe for Cinemagraph code, example here:
<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://media.flixel.com/cinemagraph/52qubzip1kgz8m96hvxz” frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>
or simply visit my trial image here:
https://flixel.com/cinemagraph/52qubzip1kgz8m96hvxz/and I want to have the effect exactly like the images showing in this site : http://blog.flixel.com/
(not video nor the low quality GIF)And I know that wordpress.org do support such thingy, how come I cant use it here in wordpress.com?
And you can do a little search on google regarding Cinemagraph, its the newest image effect.
Plus there are quite a lot of users out there using other platform can be able to embed this code. And may be at least can do a exception to Flixel.com’s coding?
(while wordpress.com do support Youtube embed)Thanks in advance for you time, looking forward to your good news.

Nope. The <iframe> tag is not allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons.
Read about tags allowed & not allowed on WordPress.com here:

Already read it and saw this too:
“If you wrote some code or pasted it in from another web site and then it disappeared after publishing the post, the code is likely being stripped out. If you feel it’s being stripped out improperly or if you would like to suggest additional types of code we should allow, please contact support.”
And that’s what I was doing, contacting support ( here, the support forum) to suggest allowing the Cinemagraph code
Apparently you haven’t read all my words at the 1st post but just automatically replied me while the word “iframe” popped into you eyes.
you haven’t give me any response but directing me BACK to my starting point, and telling me something that I already knew, thank you for that, wordpress.

I read everything you stated including your rude response to Galois and I tagged this thread for Staff to close this thread as it is in the wrong forum.
While you are waiting read this code of conduct https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/wordpresscom-forums-community-standards?replies=1
Then copy and pâste your text into this form https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/ideas#postform so it appears as a new thread in the Ideas Forum (suggestions for Staff), instead of here in this Support Forum (technical support questions only).

I’m a volunteer. My nick is Galois, not wordpress (?)
Nice to meet you. ;)Maybe you should read this:

Oops!
Please accept my sincere apologies @Galois.
I was overlooked at my mobile, and was pretty shocked that a “staff” replied me so fast but with the “short” response, it was looked like “they” (so I meant WordPress) haven’t really read the user’s questions to me.
Honestly I was pretty angry at that point (I was angry with that level of support service more that the actual solution), so..I wasn’t notice that you are a user (no difference from me) here and was trying to help, again, please accept my apologies for such overreacting, sorry about it. Wish I haven’t ruin your day.
Thank you for suggesting the Idea page tho, frankly I really had no idea where I should post (or who should I talk to), I am moving to there then, thank you for your time.

Hello @timethief,
Thank you for your time too, I was misunderstood (replied as above), blaming a volunteer helper was never my intention, I was just shocked and got angry by the service level of wordpress (again, I was overlooked and misunderstood), I am sorry.
I’ve asked different kind of questions to those Theme supporters before and all of them are really helpful (even sometimes they don’t have a solution and the problems cannot be solved at the moment), so when I read “a line” by wordpress staff I was really shocked.
Thank you for suggesting, will move to the Idea page then, have a nice day.
