iFrames on WordPress Business Plan
-
Hi,
I’m looking for some advice please.
We are looking to build a site on a Business plan mainly for the premium themes and unlimited storage.
The site we are looking to build is basically a front end to a booking system that we already have. This system provides integration via iFrames or via an API.
We were planning on using iframes to link to the booking system but i’ve just read that iFrames on wordpress.com sites are not allowed (unless to a restricted list of sites issuu/YouTube etc…)
Can someone please confirm even if we went with the business plan which seems to unlock more features would iFrames work?
If not I’m guessing that WordPress.org maybe the way forward?
Thanks!

Hi there I don’t think that upgrading to the business plan will change the restrictions on iframes but I’ve tagged this for a Staff reply.

Hi there,
On the regular Business Plan you won’t be able to use iframes, but if you install a plugin or a custom theme you should be able to. Just make sure to only embed iframes from trusted sources, as iframes can be used by someone to spread malware via your site without you even knowing it.
You’ll still only be able to embed them in a post, page or text-widget, though. No WordPress.com site has FTP access, regardless of plan, so anything that requires you to edit the source code of your site won’t be possible.
