Illegally Cloned Site Continues To Clone From The Source Site By Default

    Hi All,
We have discovered that our website at jmrocs.com has been cloned by an Asian outfit at blogdynamix.com. Our question is, how is it possible for the cloned site to show all newly made changes which we made at the source site – our site? Note: Changes do not show at first glance. For instance you land at the clone blogdynamix.com site and can see the old content in the footer. But, as soon as you hit one outdated links there, you see the “OOPS! THAT PAGE CAN’T BE FOUND” page. ONLY then you see a page with our updated footer information! It doesn’t seem to matter what we try to do to disable the clone from displaying our content.
We have brought this mystery to the attention of WP support, but so far, ANY reasonable explanations have yet to be found.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • Hi there,

We have already replied to you on this matter via email several days ago. blogdynamix.com is not a WordPress.com site and we have no control whatsoever over it. If that site is violating your copyright you’ll need to contact their hosting provider and follow the processes they have in place for removing that content.

    Hi Kokkieh,
We acknowledge that blogdynamix.com is not hosted by WordPress and we repeat our question of how it is technically possible to copy a website by html, host it somewhere else and have it “update” itself to whatever changes we do at our current WordPress hosted site?

Our screen capture video demonstrates clearly what happens at the cloned site when we make changes at our site.

I don’t know how they are doing that, as I don’t have access to their site to check. But they could be using a bot to crawl your site for any changes, they could be using a plugin or a custom script on their site, they could be simply embedding your site in an iframe on their site. Any competent programmer would be able to figure out a way to copy a site in real time if they really wanted to, and there’s no way to prevent it. You can only enforce your rights in terms of copyright law if and when it does happen.
