Illustratr – Add bio

  Hello,

  I am using the Illustratr theme and wondered if there is a way to put a bio in between the Header (and tagline) and then the projects that come underneath that. Does anyone know how I would insert text there on the portfolio?

  Surely!

  1. Change the page template of your current front page to Portfolio Page Template. Here is how to change the page template: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-attributes/#template
  Also check the Portfolio Page Template section of the Illustratr support guide: https://wordpress.com/themes/illustratr/

  2. Add your bio to the page content of your front page. You may want to use the existing front page content:

  Thank you for taking the time to visit my website….

  Just remove the http://www.emilymunk.wordpress.com/portfolio link. It is not needed because when you set page template to Portfolio Page Template in step 1above, WordPress will display your portfolios in nice grid as you see when you click the link.

  As a result, on your front page your photo, site header (your name), tagline, page title (Welcome!), horizontal line, your bio and then your portfolios in the grid.
