Illustratr Portfolio does not show Project Types under Portfolio Menu

    Hello,

    I am trying to categorize my projects in the Illustratr themes portfolio. When I made the Portfolio initially I created 4 Project Types (such as Web Page Design, Logo Design, etc.

    The project types appear under the projects, and if clicked on will take the viewer to a page with just those Project Types. So far so good.

    I’m wanting the different Project Types to create a sub-menu under the Portfolio menu in the main menu bar. Since it didn’t so so automatically I assumed I would create a child page under the parent Portfolio page for the desired type and put in a short code similar to what I did on the Portfolio Page:
    [portfolio display_types=true display_tags=false include_type=website-design,logo-design columns=3 showposts=24]
    which works but with just the appropriate type. for example website-design only or logo-design only. This got me the menu I wanted, it worked for the Website Design page, but not for the Logo Design page, where it just gave an “oops! Page not found.” error. I double checked the slugs, they were correct.

    I tried the suggested “If any of the Portfolio page links result in a “Page Not Found” error, this can be easily fixed by disabling and re-enabling the Portfolio content type. Go to Settings → Writing → Your Custom Content Types, uncheck the “Portfolio Projects” option, save your changes, and then re-check the “Portfolio Projects” option and save your changes again.

    Unfortunately I am using Jetpack with Illustratr on a server other than WordPress.org so there is no check box to uncheck and recheck.

    Any suggestions or am I just out of luck with this theme? It’s a great theme but not being able to categorize my projects makes it rather unwieldy.

    Hi there. I’m afraid you’re in the wrong forum. This support forum is only for free WordPress.com blogs. You appear to have a self-hosted WordPress.ORG install. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different and the support pages here don’t apply to self-hosted sites, nor does the .org version of your theme function exactly the same way as the .com version: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
