Illustratr theme – blog category archive pages

    Hi all,

I’m trying to use the Illustratr theme for a project website hosted at wordpress.com. Is there any way to change the blog category archive pages so that they show the excerpt rather than the full post? As it’s on wordpress.com I only have access to custom css rather than making a child theme, sadly.
You can see one of my categories in the menu here: http://culpolgreekcrisis.com/category/workshops/

I’d like it to display the excerpt/summary (so posts don’t get too far down the scroll as some will be quite long). I know I can use “Read More” in the post as a workaround, but it does mean building some kind of summary into the top of each post rather than the excerpt.

    With thanks

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

In the majority of themes, posts in category or monthly archive pages show up just as they do in the main posts page. But in some themes only the beginnings of posts are shown, and in a few themes you only get titles or thumbnails.

Please use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can copy and paste your text into a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need.
