Illustratr theme, footer widget area

    Hi,

    I am using the Illustratr theme, which has the footer area hidden by default, requiring you to click the ‘+’ symbol to view the widgets there. I have seen other answers to my query but all require Custom CSS. Is there a way to have it open by default, without using Custom CSS? I am not on the Premium plan and cannot afford it.
