Illustratr -Theme: how to change the menu location?

Hi.
I am trying to set up my web-page using WP and Illustratr -theme.
Few things to start with:How can I set the navigation menu location to be something different than the top of the page? I want to use a featured image on my site, but I just can’t figure out how to set the menu to be located UNDER the featured Image?
How can I use several images as featured image as an slideshow?
(I have seen it, so I know it can be done.)How can I use my own logo on the top of the screen?
These are very simple things but I just don’t know how to set those up..

By default the featured image appears under the menu. We can change this using CSS but it requires Custom Design upgrade.
Illustratr theme doesn’t support post slider. So we can’t add slideshow using this theme. You will have to switch to one of the themes that support slider: https://theme.wordpress.com/themes/features/post-slider/
You can specify the site logo in the Customizer > Site Title, Tagline, and Logo menu. Here is more info about Site Logo: https://en.support.wordpress.com/site-logo/

That is odd: I have seen a slideshow on the Illustratr theme. -
kaariamikko – do you have a link to a site with a slideshow in Illustratr? It’s possible to add one using the built-in WordPress.com slideshow, which can be used in any theme.

Where is the “Appearance” in the Dashboard?

kaariamikko – what’s the link to your site? Both sites I see connected to this account are self-hosted (running on your own hosting), not hosted here on WordPress.com:

http://mikkokaaria.fi/On WordPress.com you can reach the Customizer in several ways.
In addition to Appearance > Customize, in the WP Admin dashboard (Chait’s screenshot) you can go under the grey My Sites menu at the top left, and choose Customize: https://cloudup.com/cmTtV1w9e5e
In the new admin interface, you can also look for the link that says Customize in the menu at the left:
Those two options only apply to WordPress.com though, not self-hosted sites.
