Illustratr Theme: Password Protection Not Working on Portfolio page

  Hi there,

  Apologies in advance if this question has been answered elsewhere that I couldn’t find.

  I’m using the Illustratr theme to create a portfolio site for myself. I’d like the ability to password protect the “Portfolio” section of the site, since I have work there that, for NDA or other reasons, I’d like to limit access to. While I was able to password protect a single sample project page within the portfolio using the “Visibility” setting, the same thing doesn’t work for the whole portfolio section.

  Why is that and can it be changed? I was able to password protect a sibling level page (the contact me page). I also tried password protecting all child pages (including unpublished drafts), thinking that child visibility may affect the visibility of the parent, and changing the template of the page, but nothing seemed to take. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  The portfolio page URL display this:
  Projects
  Protected: Test project

  Hi timethief, thanks for looking into it! Yup, what you see is what I’m seeing but not what I want – I’d like to have it display the password request prompt that’s displayed when you click the test project:

  “This content is password protected. To view it please enter your password below:”

  I have the same visibility settings set on both pages, but it won’t take on the portfolio page. Why could that be?
