Illustratr Theme – Portfolio creation

    hi…
    Please help me …. am at a loss as to how to do the portfolio as shown in the theme demo, https://illustratrdemo.wordpress.com/
    All I want to do it is
    Header Nav – My Name
    Sub Header Nav – Portfolio
    Cards layout of clients work done and on clicking a card, a gallery of images is shown.

    I need to know as early as possible as I need to upload fast!

    I want to place a list of clients as a card layout
    Eg: BBC logo and on hover , will lead to the panels of images done for this client… I am unable to place the logo (image) to the card layout.

    From what I can see on the demo site, https://illustratrdemo.wordpress.com/, I can understand that you want to replace the title Illustratr to your name and the tagline “A minimalist portfolio theme” to “Portfolio”.

    To do that, after you enable this theme on your WordPress.com site, you can use the WordPress.com Customizer feature to do this. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/

    You will also be able to add images as blog posts for them to appear on your homepage as the works done by you for your clients.

    https://himanihpl.wordpress.com/ is marked as a private WordPress.com theme. I cannot see it unless I request an invite that you can approve if you wish to, and I will be able to guide further based on your progress.

    1. Yes, replace the title Illustratr to my name is right!
    2. Remove the tagline A minimalist portfolio theme
    3. Remove the links HOME | PAGE TEMPLATES | PORTFOLIO | BLOG | IMAGE ALIGNMENT AND STYLES | HTML ELEMENTS
    4. Replace HELLO, I AM ILLUSTRATR AND THIS IS MY PORTFOLIO to the word ‘PORTFOLIO’ only
    5. Remove the text copy This page uses “Portfolio Page… if you wish.
    6. Cards to be replaced with logo of clients; Eg: Image in WILD WILD WEST (1st Card) to be replaced with the logo of CA Media and on clicking the 1st card, there will be a showcase of work done for CA Media.
    Similarly, the 2nd card will have the logo of Content Enablers and on click, there will be a showcase for CE and so on….
    That’s all and AM still struggling to do this upload of the portfolio.

    I hope the WordPress is no longer private? Are you are able to see it?!

    Note that most of the changes you need can be done using WordPress.com’s Customizer feature. You can read more about it here. https://en.support.wordpress.com/customizer/

    1. Can be changed using WordPress.com Customizer. Please use Site Identity option on WordPress.com Customizer to do this.

    2. Can be removed using WordPress.com Customizer. Please use Site Identity option ton WordPress.com Customizer to do this.

    3. To remove the links, open Menus > Primary on WordPress.com Customizer and you should be able to click on each menu and click on Remove available at the bottom of each menu button. That should remove all 3 links.

    4. To change “Hello, I am Illustratr and this is my portfolio.” to “Portfolio”, open the Site Pages section on your WordPress.com dashboard. You should see a page named “Hello, I am Illustratr and this is my portfolio.” Click Edit on that page and change the page’s title to “Portfolio” That should do it.

    5. You can edit the Page’s copy too using the same process as step 4.

    6. To create the cards, you will need to create Blog Posts with the right images and copy.

    Note that WordPress.com community forums do not offer freelancing or customizing services of any sort. You will need to make these changes to your WordPress.com site yourself.

    Thank you Strikebuys… managed to do the changes from step 1 to 5
    But when it comes to step 6 which I want to create the cards layout as the demo, EXACTLY the way demo…

    How do I…
    1. Have 3 columns grid
    2. What is the step of creating a blog post with a Transparent Red box with a plus (+) sign on hover effect /on-click eg: Wild Wild West / Banana Pancakes etc and
    3. On clicking the Wild Wild West, how to link a series of images to this card, Wild Wild West
