  I recommend checking out http://learn.wordpress.com to become familiar with the WP.com platform.

  Tip any user name that is blue can be clicked on in the forums and you’ll be directed to their site if they choose to link there instead of somewhere else.

  Plus you could use the global tag reader to find like minded bloggers as well http://wordpress.com/#!/read/topics/
