  the gift of you was for a friend that brought back feeling to me after a long time of being… sad.

  yes, I wrote it.

  tongue is voice.

  reparations tongue is basically a reference to my ex never being able to say he was sorry.. never attempting to make things right.

  silence was deafening.

  (“Tongue” I know – so please correct the spelling mistake!)

  Although it’s not the closest relationship one could think of, what spontaneously came to my mind while whispering your poem was some of Atwood’s poems.

  But I’m afraid we’re getting too off-topic here…
