im baffled

    so i have bought hosting through host gator they said that i should be able to use plug ins and stuff on wordpress site as well as take payments and stuff but for some reason its saying i still need a plan with you?

    You’re currently logged in to the host WordPress.com where you have the free site https://connorgault2456.wordpress.com/ To use plugins with this site you would indeed need to upgrade it to a Business plan. But you say you have bought hosting through Hostgator so you must have another site with them too. You’ll need to reach out to them for help with a site over there.
