I'm confused about my purchase…
-
In the form to create a blog account, I typed in the name of a domain I owned, selected the “.com” suffix, and then clicked the link stating that I already owned the domain. From there I was given the option of a free blog, or a paid one; I chose the paid one.
I thought part of what I was paying for was to use the domain I had just entered in the previous form. After submitting my order, though, I was told I had been given a free domain. I clicked the link to see what it meant, and saw that thinkpit.wordpress.com had been allocated to me, but that thinkpit.com was already taken (perhaps by me).
So then I looked into using my own domain and it appears I need to pay an additional $13/year for that. Not that that’s an unacceptable amount, it’s just that that’s what I thought I’d been purchasing. In fact that seemed so clear from the workflow, that I’m wondering if there was a mistake somewhere.
Please clarify and let me know what I should do next. The domain I own and would like to use is “thinkpit.com”.

You did get the bundle, and that does include the free domain mapping.
Please try mapping the domain following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/map-existing-domain/
You won’t be charged during checkout.
