i’m experiencing very very strange things on wordpress

I dont know if this happens only to me… or if it’s meant to happen so that you upgrade. What i know though is that i am experiencing very unpleasant things lately.. let’s start with the widgets: category cloud has been confused with tag cloud (even though there is a FAQ pretty descriptive) – for more information just take a look at the last 2 posts on my blog http://itbulk.wordpress.com (you dont need to speak romanian, just look at the pictures), posts are sometimes not displayed properly (it doesnt appear the entire post), tags are sometimes trimmed, and some tags are missing … and so on…

What is your operating system please?
Which browser and version of it are you using?
Have you recently had any upgrades to your operating system, browser or security programs? -
i have windows xp professional edition with service pack 2, opera 9.25 (maybe its from browser? i’ve just switched from 9.2) and as antivirus i have mcafee 2007 last updated 1 hour ago

Opera can be problematic and so can McAffee updates. Make sure that your whitelist is up to date and try another browser like firefox 2.0.0.11 as it works very well with wordpress.

And what arguments do you have when saying “so can McAffee updates” ? I understand Opera may be sometimes problematic… but McAfee?

We absolutely positively don’t deliberately cause bugs or problems for users with free blogs.
First suggestion would be to try with a different browser – as much as I like Opera, it does have a few problems with the WordPress visual editor. If problems persist, try from a different computer if you can to see if it has the same problems, then contact support.

Ok i will try on Ubuntu as soon as i will install it. And sorry for this “or if it’s meant to happen so that you upgrade” i think i was a little bit stressed. Won’t happen again.

Opera, much like Safari on the mac, has some shortcomings when it comes to some of the more advance programming (javascript and php) used at wordpress so there are some issues with them and wordpress. There is hope for Safari with version 3, but I have no idea when Opera will get up to speed on things.

wtf?! again? dudes i’m really getting VERY confused! you may think im joking or something like this… i dindnt even had time to enjoy! when i saw that tag cloud is now working i thought everything went back to normal but seems it didnt.. so i tried on some other computer as tellyworth said and guess what – the same thing!

Please remain calm and recognize that in order to help you staff must be able to duplicate the problem. When it comes to supplying details you can never supply too many to staff.
For each operating system and browser you used and each problem you experienced please supply specifics as well as a very good description of the exact problem.

ok i try being calm… my friend’s got windows xp pro edition sp2 (other than mine so i dont think the windows is the problem) and it runs IE7. I tried with other browsers too on his PC – and the same problem :)

(1) widgets: category cloud has been confused with tag cloud – resolved – “when i saw that tag cloud is now working”
(2) images in the last two posts
(3) posts are sometimes not displayed properly (it doesn’t appear the entire post)
(4) tags are sometimes trimmed, and some tags are missing -
wadrian – the problem with the truncated tags is discussed in this thread.
Your category cloud is working. The terminology in the configuration of the category widget is confusing – they have used the word “tags” when they mean “categories.” I believe this has been discussed before as well. Your “tags” cloud does appear to not be functioning. This is a problem for support when they are open.
I don’t see any posts that are not displaying in their entirety.
