so my CURRENT problems are:
1. when updating a post’s tags or when creating a new post and adding it tags, the new tags dont appear in the sider-bar @ Tags section (at all)
2. post are trimmed
3. tags are trimmedThese happens on IE v6, FF v2.0.0.11, and Opera 9.25 running on Windows XP Pro Edition with SP2

Thanks so much for posting specifics. Staff do monitor these threads and I expect you will be getting a helping hand from them soon. :)

1) The sidebars are cached and depending on server loads can take up to a couple hours (sometimes more) to update.
2) I’m not seeing any posts that are trimmed. Could you give me the name of an example?
3) If you mean trimmed on the right side, I’ve seen this as well in some cases. I have also seen cases where a long tag name (which is in a larger font) runs completely off the right side of the post/sidebar area. I’m not sure how wordpress is going to address this. I don’t know if there is a solution.

What do you use to write your posts? Do you use the wordpress online editor or something else?
-
Well at first i used wp online editor but now im using notepad2 then i copy/paste it into the editor at the code tab and save it… im doing this because i had some unpleasant experiences with the online editor, mostly because of Opera but i think making someting that auto-saves every n seconds would be a great ideea…

An alternative is to use an offline blog editor where you can put in all your formatting, and then post directly from the offline editor. An added advantage is that you have a copy of your post saved on your computer in case anything happens.
Timethief has rounded up all the most popular editors and listed them on her wordpress resources blog at: http://wpbloggingtips.wordpress.com/2007/10/26/offline-blog-editors-reviews/

Forgot to mention that many of them are free. For Windows, Windows Live Writer and BlogDesk are excellent choices and both support tags and categories.

The text running off the right side is from using Opera. I remember testing it out a while back. As others have said, Opera and TinyMCE don’t always play nice together.
