I'm getting a fatal error on a new site 'allowed memory size…. exhausted'

  Trying to add a new page and to install Clef – either gets me a fatal error on the basis of exhausted memory. Not sure if this is a WP problem or a Direct-Nic (the Host) problem… any ideas please?

  It seems like you have a self-hosted WordPress blog, which is different from the blogs that we have hosted here at WordPress.COM.

  This support forum is for such hosted WordPress.com blogs, here they all share a common WordPress core.

  In your case, it is most likely an issue with your web host setting memory limits. You’d need to ask for help in the WordPress.ORG support forums, which deal with self-hosted installations of WordPress.
