I'm having problems publishing new posts – how can I stop this?
-
Every time I publish a new post, a whole list of formatting info appears at the top of the page -that I haven’t put there- before my writing appears. This is causing my e-mail followers to receive scrambled e-mails.
The only way I can publish my post without this, is by first publishing it and then deleting this stuff, as it has then become visible on my editing page. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Actually, you can publish your post without this easily if you simply do not copy/paste from Word or whatever program you’re using. That is junk code that is being put in by your non-web-compatible software.
If you must copy/paste, paste into the TEXT editor, not the VISUAL editor. Then go back and add in links and formatting. This will remove those tags.

Thanks Raincoaster, I’ll try that. I never used to have this problem before, although I have always copied and pasted from Word. It only started a couple of months ago – any idea why?

Word and WordPress are both constantly being updated, and they are getting farther and farther apart with each update. If you want to write offline, use a web-compatible program like Windows Live Writer.
