I’m having trouble my with my editor
-
I noticed that in My Page Titled Roxie’s Radio and (Sometimes Televison) – the spacing wasn’t right -when I try to correct it – it stays the same –I’ve tried this several times -after I make all the corrections and save it-it’s still a mess. It is not open for viewing until I can do something with it.
Thanks

We really can’t help unless we can see the page or at least the code.
Mostly, spacing is not adjustable on WP.com. What exactly are you trying to do with spacing, and what code are you using to do it?
-
I’m gradually getting it back to normal – but I don’t know why? I just wanted it back to the original look. I don’t know what you mean by code. I’ll open it up again but it looked so terrible – I didn’t want it published.

It won’t help us help you unless we can see what you’ve done.
If you don’t want to open it up, just go to the Edit for that post. Click the HTML editor tab. Copy everything in the box, all of it. Paste it here between backticks, those little things on the same key as ~. So it’s backtick, code, backtick. That makes it display and then we can analyze it.

It’s looking fine now. I don’t know why it ended up looking like that. It took me quite awhile to fix it – I don’t know why it finally worked. I don’t know what you mean by code. I was working in the visual part of the editor. If this happens again I’ll copy the code and send it to you. Here is the sight: Should we ever be using the HTML editor when posting. Sometimes I try to go into the HTML to fix something?

The HTML editor works better than the Visual editor if you know how to use code. Otherwise, it’s like posting in a second language when you have to look everything up in a translation dictionary.
But now that I can see the page, I know what your problem is: you seem to be pasting in from Word or something. Stop that. Seriously, it will cause you nothing but problems and you’re lucky if it hasn’t completely screwed up your blog yet. If you want to get fancy with the formatting, either use the Advanced toolbar in the Visual editor and pick different styles like Heading 1, etc, or learn code and code it by hand. Otherwise you’re at risk of accidentally inserting tags that you can’t see and that don’t get closed, screwing up your blog. And of posting in all kinds of tags that WP.com does not play well with.
If you want to use the Word “send to blog” feature, that works well, I hear, and so do offline blog editors like Blogdesk. But don’t just copy and paste it.

I’ve downloaded blodgdesk –is there anyway I can publish to a page rather than a post. Right now I’m publishing to a post which isn’t published and then I copy the post and paste it into a page.
Thanks for all your help

I am having trouble accessing my e-mail account at reg.com. I just noticed that I can have an e-mail account with wordpress. Right now I want to do whatever is easiest. My e-mail at reg.com cost only $14.95 per year so it’s not a great loss.
After being on the phone all day with support at reg.com and several e-mails this
is what reg.com advised me to do:“If you have changed your DNS Server information and still wish to use your Register.com email account, please contact your Hosting Company (wordpress.com) and ask them to enter the following in your domain name’s Zone file:
In C Name:
mail.mynameisroxie.com points to webmail.register.comIn MX:
mynameisroxie.com Priority: High mxmail.register.comCan wordpress do this for me or is this straightforward.
Yesterday my site was down because I reset the my settings to default by mistake when I was trying to fix my e-mail account by myself at reg.com
My site is up again – but I don’t want to do something that will make my site inaccessible againThank you
