I'm having trouble uploading videos from youtube.

I’m following normal procedure and either the link appears in the draft but the movie doesn’t appear in preview, of the link doesn’t even get to the draft. I put the link in to the correct box, press go and nothing happens.

I’m doing everything right.
Clicking on ‘add video’ then ‘from url’ putting the url in the box, clicking ‘insert into post’ and either nothing happens or the link appears in the post but nothing appears in preview.
At the moment I’m not even getting preview. WordPress has come to a grinding halt. -
That’s not actually the correct way to do it.

You’re trying to link to your profile page on YouTube. Try the actual video URL (the one that shows comments, related videos, embed options, etc).

You’re trying to use http://www.youtube.com/user/ricky7989?feature=mhee#p/a/u/2/z4DCqqq9tpI which is not actually the video URL. It’s a reference URL on your user page.
The correct URL to embed is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4DCqqq9tpI
