I'm locked out of site- I deleted a necessary file

  My site was hacked. I was told I had malware files on my word press install. I used ftp and deleted any file that didn’t look like it belonged the list.

  I deleted a file that was necessary to visit the site through a search engine. I get a 401 unauthorized access warning

  Can someone please tell me what file that would be? How can that be reinstalled?
