i'm missing the links button in my toolbar

hello!
i just set up my 8th WP blog. everything is going along smoothly, but then i realize i don’t have a Links button in the toolbar. this has never happened before. anyone have any idea what might have gone wrong?
in all my other blogs, there’s the dashboard, jetpack, posts, media, links, pages, etc. on the new site everything is there but the links button.
help!

That is not a free hosted WordPress.com blog and we do not provide support for it. You need support for WordPress.org software and you are posting to the wrong support forum.
WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have separate logins. If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
