I'm new – how do I search for a topic

I’ve looked everywhere and can’t find how I can just search for a topic I’m interested in. I want to see what other people are doing. When I select a category I just get a list of certain blogs. I want to see all blogs related to a specific subject. Can I do this?

Google search format is as follows below. Do note there is no space following the colon and replace “keyword” with one of your choice or with a keyword phrase of your choice.
