I’m not Admin of my own site

I created a site four years ago, and got busy with other things. I now find that I have been plagiarized, and want to delete some of my pages. I find that I am not admin of my own web page. How do 1) fix my own security without being Admin, then 2) hopefully deleting pages will become self-explanatory.

  • Hi there,

Can you tell us the URL of the site you’re trying to access? Then we can take a look at what’s going on.

If you’re speaking of https://badmorgen.wordpress.com/, then the susaneldridge account you’re using to post here has never been an admin on that site. That site was created by a completely different WordPress.com account, and your susaneldridge account was only added to the site afterwards, first in the Editor user role, and then changed to the Author user role a week later.

If you own the other account that owns the site as well, but you’ve forgotten the login details, you can follow our account recovery process to regain access to that account. But we cannot modify the permissions for the susaneldridge account at your request, as this account is not the owner of the site.

You can find our account recovery process here:
