I'm not getting a post confirmation email

    Hey guys

    For the past week or so, I’ve not been getting emails confirming that a post has been published. This usually works all the time, but I scheduled a post and didn’t get the confirmation email, and now I’m not getting confirmations when I publish a post ‘now’.

    I’m still getting emails for blogs I’m following, whenever there’s a new post.

    I’ve checked https://wordpress.com/me/account and the email is correct, but I can’t see where to find ‘send confirmation emails’ (or similar).

    I’m using Classic Editor. 😇 (Is it because I is Classic?)

    Hi @dianewordsworth, I haven’t seen post confirmation emails, but you can definitely get new post emails if you’re following your own site, regardless of which editor you use.

    If you go to dianewordsworth.com and see a follow button in the lower right, tap that and you’ll be set.

    Can you tell us when was the last successful message you got? What date did you see it in your inbox, and what was the subject (title) of the email?

    I’ve had a look in my in tray and they’ve all disappeared. From trash too. And there’s nothing in spam. But I don’t think I’ve had one for any of the June posts.

    And yes, the email is correct.

    I’m only showing that you’ve been signed up for your new post subscriptions for just under 6 hours now.

    WordPress.com does not send you email notifications when you publish a post unless you’re subscribed to get those emails – which you did earlier today.

    Since you don’t appear to have any prior emails, there’s not much we can investigate on that end since we’re not sure what emails you’re referring to nor what email address they were sent from.

    You should get an new post notification when you publish your next post, so let us know if you still have trouble and we’ll take a closer look.

    I wonder if I inadvertently unfollowed myself? I was following Supernovia’s advice and refollowed me earlier today.

    That is a possibility! We don’t retain a subscription log history – we just see what the current state of the subscription is and for your site you’ve only been subscribed for a few hours now.
