I’m not sure if I needed to sign up?

I am hosted by hostpapa and am a novice creator. I am attempting to learn as I go to build my blog. I was managing my settings when I was prompted in the video that I’m using to build to sign up and upload an image for gravitar. I changed my email from (email visible only to moderators and staff) to (email visible only to moderators and staff) and when I followed the links to verify the change I was taken to the payment page at wordpress.com to pay for a year $60 which I did. but now I am in a completely different space and cannot access the work that I’ve done so far. This new space is separate from where I was working before @ http://www.skyfulmind.com/wp-admin. When I go there I’m still getting the prompt to verify my email change. URGH!!
How do I get back to work asap? I would prefer not to drag this out any longer!!HELP! Karen

I can confirm that you didn’t need to purchase the WordPress.com plan since your site is hosted on a different platform. I see you already canceled the plan, and a refund has been issued from our end. You can see the refund receipt at https://wordpress.com/me/billing
