  I’d like to work on my WP website and transfer my existing domain later. Which option is best for me?

  Hey there,

  With domain mapping – your domain will stay with the current registrar and you’ll need to go to their site to manage anything domain related:

  https://wordpress.com/support/domains/map-existing-domain/

  As for Domain Mapping vs. Domain Transfer – the choice is absolutely yours. Both methods work just fine.
