I'm not sure my site is working properly

I’ve made a few posts recently and no response from my followers, whilst that could be because they don’t like what I’m posting, people I know directly don’t seem to be getting notifications of my posts at the moment. I’d say I’ve been having the problem for a week or more.

Do you have the email address or username for anyone who hasn’t been getting your notifications? I’d be happy to check to see if the emails have been sending out from our system.
You can rest assured that it is safe to post email addresses here. Our forum software redacts all email addresses so it just appears as “redacted” to everyone but employees.

Hiya,
I just took a look, and this person does not have their settings configured so that they receive emails for most of their blog subscriptions, including yours. So they aren’t getting email notifications of most of the blogs they follow.
They can see blog updates by going to their reader right here:
And they can update their settings by clicking on the Edit button next to “Blogs I follow” on the left hand side of the screen on that same page.

Thanks for that, she has now changed her settings but hadn’t intentionally changed any settings. I do still feel that recent posts of mine have had little impact, as I often get likes and new followers shortly after posting, sometimes within minutes and can’t help but feel like something is amiss.

Ah! OK, that’s interesting. It sounds like your recent posts may not have been published on the Reader. I took a look at your few most recent posts and it looks like they each have quite a few tags on them, which is going to prevent them from being included on the Reader.
The Reader requires that each post have no more than 15 combined tags and categories. So with some having 17 or so combined tags and categories, that’s why you’re not getting the traffic.
In your next post, just make sure your tags and categories together are fewer than 15 and you should be good!
