I'm not sure what i can and can't do with my wordpress.com site.

I’m confused about what I can and can’t do with my wordpress.com site. Now that I have my blog going I am ready to add products to sell. I’m also hearing left and right about this genesis theme. What is that? Can I use that with .com or do I need .org (which terrifies me since I know nothing about coding/programming)? I’m also frustrated with the my current theme (white) but when I download new themes the preview part doesn’t actually work for most of them so I have no idea how they will look. And I am working on placing amazon ads on my site/posts. This is allowed right? I also did a post sharing a youtube video. I assume my white theme should be able to handle a video but I’m guessing that is what crashed it? (working on fixing the 500 error).

Well, for one thing you are asking in the wrong forum. http://www.decisive-empowered-resilient.com/ is not a WordPress.com blog and you need to be at WordPress.org for help with that version of the software.
