  We are not allowed to delete the account here.

  You can empty and delete your site. Please refer the below links for more detail:

  Delete a Website

  WordPress.com accounts cannot be deleted because WordPress.com don’t want other people to have your username in the future but you can easily
  delete your site and its data.

  Data once deleted, cannot be recovered.

  @ninadpatil01,

  Please read the support page you’re linking to at https://en.support.wordpress.com/close-account/. It says the exact opposite of what you say in your reply to this thread: WordPress.com accounts can be deleted, and this has been possible since May 2018.
