im struggling with customizing
-
I’ve set up a new tab page on my site and I want to add posts to the new page, but when I publish it, it saves to the home page and not the new page?
what am I doing wrong?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

It looks like you linked to a page rather than a category. Do you have any posts in the recipe category?
-
no not yet. I tried to add a post but it published in the home page and not the recipe section.

**UPDATE**
right what I’ve done is I’ve set my home page so its starts with the about me bit.
my current posts are now under a tab called pushing the limit and I still have my separate tab for the recipes part.how do I write a post and choose which tab it goes under??

Hi there! All posts will appear on your main posts page, which I see you’ve set to
https://memyselfipushingthelimits.wordpress.com/pushing-the-limit/
If you’d like to have a menu item link to posts in a particular category, you have two options:
1 – Use the display posts shortcode on your existing page at https://memyselfipushingthelimits.wordpress.com/recipe-ideas/
For example, if your category is called Recipe Ideas, then you could add something like this:
[display-posts category="recipe-ideas"You can add other attributes to the shortcode – see full details on the support page I linked above.
OR
2 – You can have your menu link to the automatically created category archive page, instead. Again, assuming your category is called Recipe Ideas, the category archive would look like this, once you’ve published at least one post in the category:
https://memyselfipushingthelimits.wordpress.com/category/recipe-ideas/
You can choose to add a category to your menu in the Customizer‘s Menus panel.
Let us know how it goes.

Thank you I will have a look at it, see what I can figure out. I’ll admit wordpress isn’t the easiest site to use and I’m pretty good with using computers and various software’s lol
